After seven innings, the game was tied at 5-5, and both teams were scoreless in the eighth inning. To the ninth it went, and the Mountaineers exploded for 12 runs which was highlighted by Annalee Cohn’s third double of the game, and that was followed up by back-to-back homeruns from Kara Welters and Gracie Zender. All three players had three hits each to lead the Mount Baker offense. Welters drove in four runs and scored four runs, and picked up her sixth win of the season in the circle.
