The Storm was clinging to a 5-4 lead after two innings, but the Borderites erupted for 10 runs over the next two innings to break the game wide open. Squalicum did score five runs in the top of the sixth to bring the score within four, but that would be as close as they got after that. Senior Brie Smith drove in four runs while Kendal Johnston and Dilyn Nowakowski each had a pair of hits for Blaine. Courtney Roff and Shaylie Daniels also scored three runs apiece. Squalicum catcher Addy Hauber doubled, tripled and drove in four runs, while Keisha McCloud drove in three runs, and Laela Staniford scored three runs.

The Lions scored a multitude of runs in each inning, and allowed just three hits as they remained unbeaten in conference play. Campbell DeJong was 3-for-3 with three runs batted in, and Kyleigh McVie launched her first career varsity homerun. Melanie Anderson had two hits and drove in two runs, while Kaiah Tull and Sarah McVie each had two hits and two runs scored. Callie Ramerman struck out eight batters, and walked just one, to grab her fourth win of the season. Trojan leadoff hitter Chloe Heinrich had two of her team’s three hits.

Third baseman Brooke VanLoo had two singles, a double, a triple and six runs batted in to power the Lyncs past the Bayhawks on the road. Hannah Terpstra also connected on her second homerun of the year, while she and Jayden DeRuyter each had a pair of hits. Taylor Craig led Lynden Christian with three runs scored. Bellingham’s Olivia Favro had a single, and Roza Herndon-Schepper reached base after drawing a walk.

The Mariners scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn’t complete the comeback as the final out came with a runner in scoring position. Sehome junior Sarah Kruzich did a little bit of everything as she doubled, tripled and drove in three runs, while also going the distance in the circle and striking out 11 batters. Jordan Walker walked twice and scored twice, and the Mariners also got a hit from catcher Greta Watson.
