The Pioneers scored at least three runs in each inning as they became the first team in Whatcom County to reach double-digits in the win column. Shortstop Shelby Mason had three hits and scored five runs to lead the Nooksack Valley offense, and Kestyn Wagter doubled and tripled. Gracie Rutgers drove in three runs, and Kenzie Likkel scored four runs. The Storm were led by Addy Hauber who tripled, drove in two runs, scored a run and walked.

The Lions led 7-0 after five innings, and the Mountaineers scored their first run of the game in the bottom of the sixth, but Lynden answered with five more in the top of the seventh, and Mount Baker scored three in the bottom of the seventh, but ran out of outs. The Lion offense not only pounded out 12 hits, but five of them went for extra bases including homeruns from Emily McVie, Callie Ramerman and Lydia Somma. Campbell DeJong also went 3-for-4, and Melanie Anderson hit a pair of doubles. The Mountaineers were led by Kara Welters who went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs batted in.

Borderite senior Shaylie Daniels pounded two doubles, two singles and drove in three runs to help get her team back in the win column. Courtney Roff and Maddie Musto each had three hits for Blaine, and Roff also scored three runs. The Trojans took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the fifth when Lexi Neil scored on an error, but the Borderites scored seven runs in the final two innings. Meridian senior Sydney TenKley had two hits and scored two runs to lead her team.

Lynden Christian 11, Anacortes 1

The Lyncs continued their hot streak at home by scoring six runs in the first inning before cruising to the victory. Brooke VanLoo led the offensive attack with three hits, two runs batted in and two runs scored, while Taya VanderKooi and Hannah Terpstra each added a pair of hits and combined for five runs batted in. Kassidy VanSoest struck out eight batters over five innings to pick up the win.

Burlington-Edison 14, Ferndale 4

The Golden Eagles scored the first two runs of the game, but quickly found themselves in comeback mode after the Tigers rattled off eight straight runs over two innings. Senior catcher Kaelin Blakley was 2-for-2 with two doubles to lead Ferndale, and Hadley Pike also had a pair of singles.

Mount Vernon 16, Sehome 0

The Mariners were never able to get going as they committed eight errors in the field against a very strong Bulldog team. Greta Watson’s single in the bottom of the first inning was the lone offensive highlight for Sehome. Sarah Kruzich also struck out four batters in three innings of work in the circle.
