The Mariners scored 25 runs over the first two innings, and reached base 25 times via a base on balls throughout the ball game. Sehome junior Sarah Kruzich ripped a bases-loaded triple and finished with five hits and eight runs batted in to lead her team. She also struck out 11 batters and walked just one while giving up zero hits while in the circle against her city rivals. Jordan Walker and Vanessa Anderson each scored five runs for the Mariners. Bellingham got a hit and a pair of runs batted in from Sammy Stormo and Emma Johnson.

The Vikings scored three in the first, and three more in the third to take an early lead. The Golden Eagles scored all three of their runs in the top of the fourth, but Lake Stevens batted around in the bottom of the inning and finished with eight more runs. Senior catcher Kaelin Blakley doubled, scored, had a run batted in and stole a base. Maddy Slevin and Hadley Pike each had a hit for Ferndale.
