The Golden Eagles were down 3-1 going into the bottom of the third, and scored four runs to take a 5-3 lead, which was highlighted by a double off the bat of Amaya Chervenock that scored two runs. The Mountaineer offense then got going in the top of the fifth inning when Annalee Cohn, Kara Welters and Gracie Zender began the inning with three straight hits. They all scored as the next three batters got on with two walks and an error, and two more runs were scored later in the inning when another error occurred, and Cohn was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Mount Baker then scored three runs in each of the next two innings to close the door on the road. Zender had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and Alyssa DeRoco drove in three runs to lead the offense. Ferndale was led offensively by Chervenock and Sianna Bob who each went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in.
