Slayton

Lynden won the tip-off and scored the game’s first four points, gaining control of the momentum early. The Lions held a nine-point lead at the end of the first quarter and outscored the Storm 17-2 in the second.

Defense was once again the calling card for Lynden, which remained undefeated on the season. The Lions were also welcomed by the strong shooting performance of junior forward Jules Slayton who scored a career-high 14 points, which tied sophomore Finley Parcher for the game-high.

Kiesau

Another strong quarter for the Lynden offense put them up by 33 points and the defense held in the fourth quarter.

Squalicum sophomore Carli Kiesau led her team with nine points.

The Lions will now play Archbishop Murphy on Wednesday at 6:00 in the championship game of the district tournament at Mount Vernon High School. The Storm will try to keep their season alive as they will take on Lakewood at 6:00 on Monday in the consolation round of the district tournament at Mount Vernon High School.

Gustafson

The season came to a close for the Mariners as they fell to the Cougars in the consolation round of the district tournament.

Sophomore forward Elyse Panagos and sophomore guard Sadie Gustafson each enjoyed career-highs in points scored, as Panagos led Sehome with 12 points, and Gustafson added 10 points.

Both players’ career-highs previous to this game came against Oak Harbor earlier this season.

Freshman guard Taylor Turrell chipped in with eight points.

Lockhart

The Bayhawks stayed relatively close after one quarter of play, but eventually couldn’t keep up with the Seahawks firepower on the road.

The season came to an end for Bellingham, which was led in scoring for the fourth time in five games by junior Mary Lockhart.

Senior guard Malia Hanks added six points in the final game of her career.
