Neah Bay 48, Lummi Nation 37

A slow start against the defending state champions made it tough for the Blackhawks who found themselves down 9-0 early, which is very unfamiliar territory, and comeback wouldn’t be had.
Lummi Nation hadn’t lost since early January, and has used suffocating defense all season to get where they are. That defense held the Red Devils to their lowest point total in a game in over a month.
Sophomore point guard Jemma James led the Blackhawks with 16 points, and she was closely followed by junior guard Ailina Rabang who finished with 10 points.
Lummi Nation will now wait its next opponent for the regional round of the state tournament.
