  • Lynden Christian 85, Lakewood 33

Shumate

The Lyncs finished the regular season on a strong note by clicking on all cylinders at home against the Cougars.

Senior forward Allison Shumate led Lynden Christian with 17 points on 8-of-14 shooting, and she was closely followed by junior guard Ella Fritts who finished with 16 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Sophomore center Jocelyn Eshuis came off the bench to add 10 points, and senior guard Danya Dykstra totaled seven points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots.

J. James

It was a second district tournament win in as many games for the Blackhawks as they flew out to a 23-6 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Sophomore guard Jemma James hit 10-of-14 from the field for a game-high 24 points to lead Lummi Nation. She also added eight rebounds, eight steals and four assists.

Junior guard Brianna Metteba finished with 11 points, five steals and four rebounds, and junior guard Ailina Rabang had nine points, four steals, three assists and a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Blackhawks will be back at home on Tuesday night when they face Concrete.

Koreski

Borderite sophomore guard Kate Koreski totaled 11 points, five rebounds and three steals, but it wasn’t enough as Blaine fell at home to finish the regular season.

Junior forward Aaliyah Bowman added eight points, five boards and three steals, and senior forward Brie Smith finished with six points and seven rebounds.

The Borderites will travel to Mount Baker on Monday for a play-in game to get into the district tournament.

Reeves

The Mountaineer offense had trouble getting off the ground on the road as the Bulldogs jumped ahead early and held on for the win.

Junior forward Reace Brown posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, and led Mount Baker in both categories, and sophomore guard Lily Reeves came off the bench to provide a defensive burst with four steals and a blocked shot.

Senior guard Faith Wilson added seven points and three assists, and sophomore center Rebeca Soares (who has been out the past few weeks with an injury) played the final two minutes of the game and collected two points, two rebounds and two steals.

Mount Baker will host Blaine on Monday in a playin game for the district tournament.

Turrell

The mighty Tigers roared loudly at home as the Mariners dropped their regular season finale.

Freshman guard Taylor Turrell led Sehome with 12 points, while also picking up four rebounds.

Sophomore forward Kate Schroeder added 10 points and four rebounds, and junior center Aspen Barge finished with four points, six rebounds and three blocked shots.

The Mariners will travel to Archbishop Murphy on Wednesday night to take on the Wildcats at 7:00 in the first round of the district tournament.
