Ferndale 52, Bellingham 48
The Golden Eagles picked up the win, but the Bayhawks made it far from easy as Bellingham stayed with Ferndale throughout the game from tipoff to the final horn, and nearly pulled out the win at home.
Containing junior Jillea Fox was the tough part for the Bayhawks as the Ferndale forward finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds and four steals to lead the Golden Eagles.
Junior guard Kayla Washington added 15 points and three assists, and her free throws down the stretch helped secure the road win.
Sophomore guard Brooklyn Larrabee had eight points on 4-of-5 shooting, and she also picked up six assists and four steals.
Bellingham sophomore forward Merritt Jensen powered home 15 points down low to lead the Bayhawks.
She was aided by seniors Jenny Ruano who had 13 points, and Malia Hanks who finished with 12 points, six rebounds, six steals and three assists.

Lynden 60, Burlington-Edison 32
The Lions led by just two after one quarter, but Coach Rob Adams and his staff made the necessary adjustments and outscored the Tigers 48-22 the rest of the way.
I suppose a little rebounding helped as well.
Lynden outrebounded Burlington-Edison 44-18, and also grabbed 20 off of the offensive glass.
Junior forward Payton Mills made eight of her 14 shots from the floor and finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds, and junior forward Rian Stephan added 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
Sophomore guard Finley Parcher had a rare off-shooting night, but contributed in many other ways and ended up leading Lynden with 15 rebounds, five steals and four assists.

The Blackhawks flew out to a big lead by making four of their first five 3-point shots in the first quarter, and led 21-0.
Lummi Nation kept adding to its lead until the fourth quarter, when the Hawks scored half of their points.
Junior guard Brianna Metteba made her first seven shot attempts of the game and led her team with 16 points and seven steals.
Sophomore guard Jemma James had 11 points and four assists, while junior guards Ailina Rabang and Kashlyn Mack scored 10 points each.

In a wild, back-and-forth game that saw the lead change hands after each quarter, the Pioneers stayed strong in the fourth and pulled out the non-conference road win.
Junior center Grace DeHoog was 11-for-18 in the field and finished with 25 points, 19 rebounds, three assists and two blocks to lead the way for Nooksack Valley.
Junior guard Payton Bartl caught fire from deep as she splashed home four of her seven 3-point attempts, all of which came in the second half.
Sophomore forward Kaitlyn Biondolillo also added seven points for the Pioneers.

The Mariners were down by just one point after the first quarter of play, but the Cougars extended their lead to double-digits before the midway break and Sehome was never able to recover.
Sophomore forward Kate Schroeder scored a career-high 17 points, and drained three of her eight 3-point attempts in doing so.
Freshman guard Taylor Turrell shot 6-of-11 from the field and finished with 14 points, four rebounds and three steals.
Junior center Aspen Barge added four points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots.
