D. Dykstra

A big fourth quarter allowed the Lyncs to pull away, but the Pioneers proved to be a tough challenge throughout the game, and were down by just three points in the third quarter.

The Lyncs drained 10 three-pointers, with seven of them coming in the second half.

Senior guard Danya Dykstra helped Lynden Christian produce a strong start as she scored 10 points in the first quarter alone, which helped allow the Lyncs jump out to a 22-11 lead. She finished with a team-high 17 points.

Shintaffer

Junior guard Ella Fritts finished with 15 points, and junior guard Estela Hernandez sunk three 3-pointers in the final quarter.

Nooksack Valley was led by senior Kate Shintaffer who had 17 points, including a four 3-pointers.

Junior guard Chayleigh Davis had 14 points, and junior center Grace DeHoog added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Kettman

The Seahawks possessed a 12-9 lead after one quarter of play, but the Storm turned it around in the second quarter, took the lead, and built upon it for the rest of the game before picking up the road win.

Sophomore forward Addison Kettman led the way for Squalicum, and her nine points in the second quarter outscored Anacortes’ eight points. She finished with a season-high 17 points.

Freshman Kailana Perez finished with 15 points, 11 of which came in the second half as the Storm continued to pull away.

Rabang

The Blackhawks remained unbeaten in league play as defense was the name of the game once again. Lummi Nation had 10 steals and two blocked shots in the first quarter alone which helped it jump out to a 25-4 lead.

Junior guard Ailina Rabang had six of those first-quarter steals, and finished with nine on the game, while also pouring in a game-high 16 points on 7-of-15 shooting.

Junior guard Brianna Metteba had 11 points and six steals, and junior guard Kashlyn Mack added 10 points.

Sophomore guard Jemma James stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, seven rebounds and seven assists, and freshman center Celestine James also had seven rebounds off the bench.

Wilson

The Mountaineers were without Rebeca Soares and Rian Harkness, and were still tied up with the Wildcats going into the fourth quarter, but Oak Harbor hit key shots down the stretch and grabbed its first conference win of the season.

Mount Baker senior guard Faith Wilson finished with nine points, five steals, four rebounds and three assists to lead her team.

Junior forward Samiya Powell also scored nine points and had four rebounds while hitting all four of her free throw attempts.

Freshman forward Aurora George had seven points, freshman guard Kalyn Abitia totaled six points and six steals and junior forward Reace Brown chipped in with six points, five boards and two blocked shots.
