B. Metteba

With the score tied at 50-50, the Blackhawks inbounded the ball with 12 seconds left and fought through a full court press to get across the court.

With the time running down guard Brianna Metteba found herself with the ball, beyond the three point line. She was heavily guarded on her right side, so the 5’4″ junior switched the ball to her left hand and shot up a three-pointer just before the buzzer sounded and sank the game-winning shot.

Metteba is known to finish around the hoop, and hit 10-foot runners, with her left hand, but this was something completely different and her teammates mobbed her on the court immediately after it happened. She also led her team with eight rebounds and six steals.

Junior guard Kashlyn Mack led Lummi Nation with 22 points, and junior guard Ailina Rabang added 10 points and seven rebounds.
