  • Ferndale 62, Everett 45

Larrabee

When Brooklyn Larrabee began the game with a couple of steals and scores, it was just a precursor to what was going to be.

The Golden Eagle sophomore guard finished with 18 points, 10 steals, six rebounds and six assists to lead her team to victory just 24 hours after suffering a road loss.

Junior forward Jillea Fox also had a double-double, but she did it the more conventional way with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Junior forward Abbey White added 14 points and seven rebounds, and sophomore guard Kenzie Dawson dished out five assists and had four steals.

  • Nooksack Valley 39, Sehome 32

Shintaffer

The Pioneers held the Mariners to just two points in the second quarter, which extended the Nooksack Valley lead to 21-14 at the half. The Pioneers did just enough to hold on the rest of the way and grab the win at home.

Turrell

Senior guard Kate Shintaffer attacked the hoop all game and finished with a game-high 16 points, while also going 4-of-5 from the foul line, and grabbing six rebounds (four of them on the offensive glass).

Junior guard Payton Bartl added 11 points and three assists, and junior center Grace DeHoog pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Pioneers.

Sehome was led by the nine points of freshman Taylor Turrell, and sophomore guard May Madera added six points on a pair of of three-pointers.

Evans

The Bayhawks were down by one point after one quarter of play, but then went on a 19-4 run in the second quarter, and kept separating themselves from the Wildcats throughout the second half before getting the road win.

Bellingham came into the game averaging 14% on its three-point attempts, and shot 8-of-20 from downtown (40%) in this contest.

Junior guard Alexyce Evans connected on 5-of-8 from beyond the arc to finish with a season-high 15 points.

Sophomore forward Merritt Jensen scored 10 points, and had team-highs with seven rebounds, five steals and two blocked shots.

Senior guard Jenny Ruano finished with nine points, and senior guard Malia Hanks added eight points, four rebounds and four assists.

Rabang

It was all Blackhawks as they started the game out on a 13-0 run, led 29-5 at halftime, and played with a running clock in the fourth quarter as they picked up the win at home.

Junior guard Ailina Rabang led with 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting, and she also had five rebounds and four steals.

Junior guard Kashlyn Mack finished with 16 points, five steals and four rebounds, and sophomore guard Jemma James had 15 points, five steals and three assists.

Freshman center Celestine James came off the bench to add eight points and a team-high nine rebounds.
