BELLINGHAM – Squalicum scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh, but it just wasn’t enough as Lakewood bested the Storm 7-6 on Thursday.
With two outs, senior Anna Wilson’s line drive to center field knocked in Tylor Arnett and Gracie Nguyen, and Olivia Whitney’s follow-up single scored Wilson, but the magic ended there.
Wilson finished with two hits, two runs and three RBI’s and Whitney had two hits, two RBI’s and a double.
Nguyen pitched the entire game, striking out eight and walking just one, but she took the loss. 76% of her pitches were strikes.
