In a game that featured 20 runs, 19 hits and four lead changes, it was the Golden Eagles that slugged their way to victory. A 5-run sixth inning helped secure the win for Ferndale. Bryan Ebe and Kobe Sandstrom each walked to begin the inning, and Aidan Roddel followed that up with a double to left field. Geirean Hatchett sliced the ball down the third base line and also picked up a double. Carson Peters lined a single into center, and Brett Westford crushed a double that scored two. Jacob Kaepernick went 2-for-3 and knocked in five runs for the Mariners.

After the Red Raiders scored four runs in the top of the sixth inning to take a 4-3 lead, Trojan senior Dylan Hickok scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a fielder’s choice to win the game. Hickok finished with a game-high three RBI’s, while Art Madrigal and Ethan Brooks each had a pair of hits for Meridian. Bellingham senior Nick Posey hit a two-run triple, and junior Cody Tolle drew three walks.

The Lyncs were down 6-0 after two innings, but they chipped away to score seven in the following four innings to put away the Mountaineers. Sophomore Shale Whittern came on in relief in the second inning and pitched brilliantly through the fifth inning, allowing just one hit while striking out three. Luke Johnson pitched the final two innings to pick up the victory. Whittern also finished with 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Senior shortstop Kaleb Bass picked up a pair of hits, including a double for Mount Baker.
