GRANITE FALLS – It wasn’t the way the Bayhawks wanted to end their season, as Granite Falls defeated Bellingham 46-6 at Tiger Stadium on Friday night.
The Tigers broke off numerous big plays in the first half, and jumped out to an early lead. The Bayhawks scored on a 76-yard touchdown pass from junior quarterback Max Rasset to senior wide receiver Johnny Twedt.
Twedt finished the contest with a game-high four receptions for 130 yards. He also ended his high school career with 678 career receiving yards, which is good for 15th in school history.
Bellingham also had strong performances on defense from seniors Daniel Reyes (seven tackles), Ameer Amjad (5.5 tackles) and junior Liam Poulton-Claypool (5.5 tackles and a forced fumble).
The Bayhawks finished their season with a 2-7 record.
