
SPOKANE – Pressure defense by Lummi Nation fueled a 13-0 run in the third quarter as the Blackhawks defeated Ocosta 67-27 in the quarterfinals of the 1B state tournament.

Junior point guard Jerome Toby led both offensively and defensively as he grabbed five steals, and finished with 25 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the field.
Senior forward Tony Abrams was huge off the bench as he totaled eight points on 3-of-4 shooting, and sophomore guard Landon LaFontaine led the Blackhawks with six rebounds.
Sophomore center Deandre James added seven points and four boards, and senior forward Karson Revey had back-to-back steals that each led to layups. He finished with four steals, and sophomore guard Dyson Edwards led the team with four assists.
Lummi Nation not only was able to play every player that suited up, but every player also scored.
The Blackhawks (24-3) will face Neah Bay tomorrow night at 9:00 for a chance to go to the state championship game on Saturday.
