EDMONDS – Two recovered onside kicks and a blocked punt in the first half doomed the Borderites early, as they fell to Mountlake Terrace 40-0 at Edmonds District Stadium on Friday evening.
The Blaine offense was only able to manage 34 yards. A few bad snaps put the Borderites in tough situations. Alex Mercado led Blaine in rushing with 26 yards on 11 carries.
The Borderites defense was led by linebacker Hudson Reid who had two tackles for loss, and punter Bryce Kamrath who averaged 37 yards per punt, including a 58-yarder.
Blaine (2-4) will host Cedarcrest (3-3) this Friday night.
