BLAINE – It was a rough night for the Borderites as the King’s Knights came to town and left with a 51-6 win over Blaine on Friday night.

King’s scored three touchdowns in the first quarter, all on short fields, and it was a 31-0 score at halftime.

The Borderites were able to put together a strong drive in the third quarter, with senior quarterback Kael Evinger completing four passes in a row, the fourth being an out-route to junior tight end Conner Dalry who took it 15 yards for a touchdown.

Evinger finished with 89 yards passing on the game, and wide receivers Hunter Vezzetti and Riley Ihde each had three receptions.

Defensively, the Borderites got interceptions from Ihde and junior outside linebacker Kale Pai. Blaine also got quarterback sacks from Dalry, Vezzetti, Victor Gervol and Jacob Voight.

The Borderites (0-4) will begin conference play on Friday when then host Mount Baker (2-2) at 7:00.
