COUPEVILLE – Despite a strong pitching performance by junior Payton Robertson, and out-hitting the Wolves, the Lynden Christian baseball team suffered a 7-3 loss at Coupeville on Saturday.

Robertson struck out seven batters, and walked just one, in his three-inning start. He only allowed two earned runs, but the six Lyncs errors was the ultimate downfall.
Senior Shane Whittern went 2-for-3, scored two runs and stole three bases for Lynden Christian. Junior Cole Langstraat scored the other LC run, and stole a pair of bases while Robertson went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.
The Lyncs (0-1) will host Bellingham on Wednesday at 4:30.
