SEDRO WOOLLEY – The Golden Eagles proved to be top competitors in their first track meet of the season at Sedro Woolley on Thursday, which also included Stanwood and Anacortes.

Senior Jarid Poole won the 100 meter dash with a blistering 11.24 time. He also won the 200 with a time of 23.31. He also was part of the winning 4×100 relay team that also included Mark Kolbert, Brady Morrison and Marcos Ortiz. Their time was 47.1.
Other Ferndale winners included freshman Landon Sturdevant (1600 – 4:44) and junior Barrett Rybka (Javelin – 144’2″).
On the girls side, senior Paige Devine won both the 100 meter hurdles (16.07) and the 300 meter hurdles (48.79). She was also a part of the winning 4×400 relay team that also included Nicole Headrick, Jaclyn Denham and Alexandra McBeath, and their time was 4:14.
Other Ferndale winners were Headrick (400 – 1:05) and junior Rylee Weg (Long jump – 16’6″).
