It was an interesting season. Some teams played six games, some played five, one played four and one team played just two games. In a compressed season, with a quick turnaround going into the next season, a decision was made that there wouldn’t be All-Conference football teams selected this season. I have always looked forward to seeing who was selected, each and every season, going back dozens of years. So, this year, I am taking it upon myself to choose my very own All-Whatcom County Football Teams!
There will be three podcasts next week, which will be the actual award shows.
On Monday the 19th, Ryland and I will give out nine awards on the season. They are as follows:
Freshman of the Year
Sophomore of the Year
Breakout Player of the Year
Assistant Coach of the Year
Lineman of the Year
Offensive Player of the Year
Defensive Player of the Year
Coach of the Year
Most Valuable Player
On Wednesday the 21st, we will announce the All-County 1st, 2nd and 3rd Team Offense (including kickers and returners).
And, on Friday the 23rd, we will announce the All-County 1st, 2nd and 3rd Team Defense (including punters and long snappers).
