BELLINGHAM – Lynden Christian senior Sam Van Loo was a homerun away from hitting for the cycle, and senior Tori Bajema went 4-for-4 with a triple and four RBI’s as the Lyncs could do no wrong against Bellingham, defeating them 32-0.
Van Loo picked up the win, as she struck out seven Red Raiders in three innings. She also knocked in three runs at the dish. Senior Avery Dykstra was 2-for-2 with a triple and three RBI’s, and senior Macki Vander Veen was 3-for-4 with a double, a homerun and three RBI’s.
Other Lyncs that got mulitple hits were Reese Dykstra, Felicia Moorlag and Abby Jansma.
Bellingham senior Carolina Latimer went 1-for-2 with a triple.
LC (1-0) next plays Cascade on Friday at 4 PM, and the Red Raiders (0-1) will travel to Meridian to take on the Trojans in a double header on Friday, starting at 4 PM.
