SPOKANE – The first quarter was all Neah Bay, and the second quarter belonged to the Blackhawks. The second half determined that it could be anyone’s game, and after 15 lead changes, Lummi Nation took the 49-45 victory over the Red Devils in the semifinals of the 1B state tournament.

Sophomore guard Dyson Edwards led the Blackhawks with 17 points, six rebounds and two steals. He also knocked down 5-of-10 from beyond the three-point line.
Senior guard Karson Revey came off the bench to add 10 points and five boards.
Another huge factor was that Lummi Nation connected on 12-of-14 at the foul line, while Neah Bay was only able to convert seven of its 15 tries at the charity stripe. Sophomore center Deandre James was a perfect 6-of-6 from the line.
Sophomore guard Landon LaFontaine finished with seven points, and junior guard Jerome Toby added five points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
The Blackhawks (25-3), who have now won 12 in a row, will square off against top-seeded Almira Coulee Hartline tomorrow at 5:00 or the state championship.
