YAKIMA – Although it was in straight sets, the Lyncs came as close as they could as they lost each set by a minimum of two points to Stevenson, 26-24, 27-25 and 25-23.
Lynden Christian was down 20-11 in the second set, but went on a run to eventually tie it up minutes later before falling to the Bulldogs.
A kill by freshman Tyra Dykstra gave the Lyncs a 21-19 lead in the third set, but Stevenson went on to score three straight points which forced LC to call a timeout.
The Lyncs called another timeout just moments later when a Bulldog block made it 23-21 Stevenson.
Senior Danya Dykstra scored a kill, and it was quickly followed up by a power kill to the center of the court from junior Alli Wright, which tied the third set at 23-23.
The Bulldogs got two offensive points to finish the set and take the match.
