YAKIMA – The Lions used a steady attack throughout the game to take down the Rapids in the quarterfinal round of the 2A state tournament.

Lynden forced 32 turnovers, which turned into quick buckets.

The main recipient of those was sophomore guard Finley Parcher who nabbed eight steals and finished with 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting. She also grabbed eight rebounds.

Much like last year, the main struggle for the Lions in this quarterfinal round was outside shooting as they finished by making just one of their 12 attempts from beyond the arc.

Junior forward Payton Mills added 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting, and she also led Lynden with six rebounds.

The top-ranked Lions (26-0) will face Prosser at 7:15 tomorrow night for a chance to back to the state championship game.
