BLAINE – The Trojan volleyball team got back on the winning side of things on Saturday afternoon when it defeated the Borderites in three straight sets, 25-13, 25-22 and 25-17.
It was a total team effort as Meridian hit .283 as a team, including an incredibly efficient performance by freshman Emry Claeys (six kills in eight attempts).
Junior Kadance Blakers led her team with five of the 12 aces. She also totaled 13 digs. Juniors Finnley Claeys and Jolena Hoefer each had a team-high nine kills, and senior Brynn Neal added five kills.
Sophomore Hayden Claeys led with 30 assists.
The Trojans (3-2) will host Nooksack Valley (4-0) on Tuesday at 7:00.
