Sehome Tops Ferndale in Rain-Shortened Game

FERNDALE – Sehome’s Josh Manson scored three runs, and got the save in relief as the Mariners beat Ferndale 9-4 on a wet Tuesday afternoon.

Freshman lefty Jacob Kaepernick got the win for the Mariners, as he pitched three innings in relief, striking out six, and allowing one run. Ethan Brown had a pair of hits and an RBI, and James Meader also knocked in a run.

Ferndale senior James Hinson threw the first three innings, had a double and a walk, and also scored two of his teams’ four runs.

Sehome (2-1) travels to Sedro Woolley today to take on the Cubs at 4:00, while the Golden Eagles (0-1) will take on the Lions at Lynden today at 4:00.
