
BELLINGHAM – Unless you were cheering on the undefeated Seahawks, it wasn’t pretty. Anacortes played consistently great throughout the game to defeat the Storm 35-0 at Civic Stadium on Thursday night.
Seahawks junior quarterback Rex Larson completed 20-of-30 passes for 288 yards and four touchdowns, which two of the touchdown passes went to senior Hayden John.

Squalicum had trouble moving the ball all game, and punted nine times as the Anacortes defense played tremendous as a unit.
Sophomore running back Marcus Nixon was bottled up for the most part, only having two carries that went for over 10 yards. He finished with a team-high 63 yards rushing on 16 carries. Fellow sophomore Joaquin Ortiz-McAlister led the Storm on receiving with a career-high seven receptions for 45 yards.
Defensively, Squalicum got great effort from senior inside linebacker Mason Myers, who led his team with eight tackles, including a tackle for loss.
The Storm (4-3) will try to bounce back on Friday the 21st when they take on cross-town rival Sehome at 7:00 at Civic Stadium.
