On this day in Whatcom County football history:
2000: The Meridian Trojans were completely dominant on their way to defeating South Whidbey 81-0. It’s still the most points scored in Meridian history.
2006: Meridian senior quarterback Tyler Slesk set a school record by passing for 438 yards in a 62-52 victory over Sehome. In the same game, Sehome senior quarterback Kai Hatch set a school record by passing for 382 yards. Both school records still stand 14 years later.
