1982: Ferndale coach Vic Randall picks up his first of many victories in a 45-14 win over Stanwood. He would go on to win 137 games, the most in school history. Also, in that same game, senior tight end Greg Finkbonner set a school record with 134 receiving yards. He did it with only four receptions, and two went for touchdowns. His school record stood for six years.
