On this day in Whatcom County football history:
1990: Nooksack Valley junior running back Dave Longoria set the school record with 224 rushing yards in a 30-23 win over Meridian. He would go on to break his own school record a few weeks later.
2001: Lynden Christian senior kicker Clint Bosman became the first player in school history to kick three field goals in a game, in a 52-15 win at Elma. No player in Whatcom County history has kicked more field goals in a single game.
2012: Blaine defeated Bellingham 36-28, and records were set on both sides. The Borderites rushed for 599 yards and had 650 yards of total offense, which both still stand as team records today. Red Raider senior quarterback Justin Pruett set a school record by throwing for 320 yards in the loss. His record stood for five years.
