On this day in Whatcom County football history:
2006: Squalicum senior running back Chad Clark set school records with 370 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns in a 45-37 win over Sehome. Both records stood for 11 years.
2017: In a thrilling 36-35 win by Bellingham over Blaine, both quarterbacks broke school records for passing yards in a game. Borderite southpaw senior Cam Ellis threw for 439 yards, and his Red Raider counterpart Nick Knutson amassed 403 yards through the air. Both are still school records.
