On this day in Whatcom County football history:
2004: In a 54-12 Ferndale victory over Lindberg, junior Jake Locker and sophomore Brady Locker each return a punt for a touchdown in the same game. The victory set the tone for a magical season that would see the Golden Eagles in the state championship game three months later against Bellevue.
2015: Nooksack Valley junior wide receiver Michael O’Bryan set a school record by catching 14 passes in a 47-33 loss to Anacortes. The school record still stands today, and O’Bryan would go on to become just the third player in school history to catch over 100 passes in his career.
