1983: Lynden Christian senior running back Tim VanderVeen set a school record by rushing for 226 yards in a 35-0 win over Nooksack Valley. He would eventually end his career as the Lyncs’ all-time leading rusher, and his school record for rushing yards in a game stood for 12 years.

Goering would go on to become the first quarterback in Lynden history to be named All-State 1st Team.

2006: Nooksack Valley senior wide receiver Adam VanDiest set a new school record by catching 11 passes in a narrow 20-19 win over Orcas Island. VanDiest’s record would eventually be broken five years later.
