Perhaps the most valuable piece of this season’s Lynden Christian football team. Always in the right place, a coach on the field. Turned into a true receiving threat from his H-Back position, and was a dominate run blocker. Schouten looked his way all the time while in the red zone, and for good reason. Also became a goal line ball carrier late in the season. All over the field on defense. A true tackler, and such a dominant defender. Was named All-Conference 1st Team at both tight end and linebacker. Was also named All-State 2nd Team at tight end.
