Bruland did more than just stand out on the field. Long and lean, he might not have had the build of a normal lineman, but he did an amazing job on both sides on the ball. A tremendous athlete at left tackle, protecting the blind side of Austin O’Bryan. He was also a relentless pass rusher from his defensive end spot. Teams seemed to run to the opposite side of the field, but Bruland’s speed enabled him to run many backs down from behind. Was named All-Conference 1st Team at offensive line.
