I was asked late in the season during 2019 who I thought the best wide receiver was in Whatcom County. It didn’t take me long to say Jackson Corkill. There wasn’t really anything that he couldn’t do. He made plays on swing passes, deep go’s, deep posts, slant patterns, out patterns… he even ran for over 200 yards on fly sweeps. He led Whatcom County in every receiving statistic, and in the process became the most prolific pass catcher in school history. He was named All-Conference 1st Team at wide receiver, and was also named All-State 2nd Team at wide receiver.
