Not many offensive linemen ask to play running back as a senior, and then are told that they are allowed to. So, if you are, you better make it count. Winter did. He ran with a purpose every time he touched the ball. Extremely physical, and would never go down easy. He also ran away from defenders on a regular basis, making long distance touchdown runs a regular thing. Became the first Nooksack Valley running back in 10 years to rush for over 1,000 yards. Also played linebacker with the same intensity, and one of the hardest hitters in the county. Was named All-Conference 1st Team at BOTH running back and linebacker.
