When I started seeing Dykstra come in to games sporadically to play quarterback, I never knew if Trajan Schouten was injured, and I was always questioning. The great thing for the Lyncs is that it probably made opposing coaches question things as well, and before they knew it, Dykstra had led another touchdown drive. He gave a different look behind center, and when the defense came up to stop his runs, he would go over the top. In fact, eight of his 23 completions went for touchdowns. A great outside linebacker, especially in the passing game. Not surprising, after watching his dad Jeff as a kid, who was named All-State 1st Team at defensive back in 1991.
