A great player with a unique skill-set. Started on both sides of the ball for a while, but really started to turn it on defensively early on. Battled injuries in the middle of the season, and still managed to tie for the team lead with Brock Heppner in quarterback sacks and forced fumbles. In past Lynden teams, Lyons would have been suited perfectly as a safety, but since quicker players have been inserted at the defensive end/outside linebacker spot, Elijah put his talents on display there. Awesome speed, especially when closing in on a runner that is going the opposite way. He was named All-NWC 2A 2nd Team at linebacker.
