Whatcom Preps Analysis:
It is always fun to see sophomores come out of nowhere and blossom into superstars. That is exactly what happened with Terpstra. Unlike most players, he just kept getting as the season wore on. He’s definitely one of those players that I’m very excited to see how he develops over the next few years. He led his team in runs scored, hits and batting average.
Coach’s Comment:
“Jonah was my surprise this year. My first year with the team and during the first week I was trying to figure out who was going to be on what team and what my varsity order would look like. Jonah bounced around in the batting order early in the season but wound up our leadoff guy and had the team high batting average. He had a great year at the plate and pitched against some of the stronger teams in the league. I was very impressed with Jonah this year.”
