Whatcom Preps Analysis:
When he’s on his game on the mound, there are few better. And, he was on his game a lot. Great control, and pitched really well down in the zone. Had three times more strikeouts than walks, and that’s rare to see at the high school level. Also had good pop at the plate, and used his strong arm in the outfield. Fifth in the county in wins, and seventh in the county in strikeouts.
Coach’s Comment:
“Aiden has had to battle through the struggles of COVID over the last 2 seasons. When COVID canceled the season Aiden was set to be one of our varsity starters or closer as a sophomore. When Aiden is dialed in he has electric stuff. He has a live arm with a ton of movement on his fastball and his curveball is sharp and hard to pick up out of his hand. He has spent the last year trying to make up the ground the COVID took away, this year he put everything together and put up some impressive numbers. 63 K’s in 49 innings through out the regular and post seasons, he was one of our horses on the mound all year. He put in a ton of work this offseason and really made some huge jumps with his mindset and preparation. Aiden is leaving a lot of innings for us to have to replace, he will likely find a team to help out next year at the collegiate level.”
