What a great athlete. Always a great defender, but his offense really shined through this year. An incredible stat, he came up to bat 93 times this season and struck out just six times! A great eye, and terrific at contacting the baseball. A true leader, in every sense of the word. He tied for third on the team in doubles.
Coach’s Comment:
“Case is another member of a long list of outstanding first baseman that we have had in our program over the years. To be a lineman in football and yet have the soft hands and the flexibility to be a first baseman shows the athleticism that Case has. I felt he was the best defensive first baseman in the conference this season. It was such a blessing for our infielders to have Case at first base that as long as they got the ball somewhere in his vicinity he would make the play. Case also put a lot of time in hitting and his offensive numbers sure showed that this season. Case was an honorable mention northwest conference selection.”
