Not surprisingly, he led the entire county in at bats, runs scored and sacrifice bunts. Adapted very well to left field, and proved to be a great leadoff hitter. Good gap power, and can leg out doubles. Another football mentality guy that carries it over to the diamond.
Coach’s Comment:
“Ryan was our anchor in the leadoff spot all season long. He had the ability to hit the ball for power into the gap and also bunt for base hits. When he got on base things happen for our team. He put so much pressure on the defense with his speed it forced teams to rush and make mistakes. We converted him from an infielder to an outfielder last summer and did an outstanding job for us in left field.”
