Whatcom Preps Analysis:
The best pitcher in Whatcom County, and just a sophomore. Unbelievable competitor, and never seems to have an off-day on the mound. Has great arm action on all of his pitches, super velocity, and he doesn’t give the batter any freebies. He led Whatcom County with 94 strikeouts this season, along with a 0.94 ERA. Doesn’t walk many hitters, and can hit the corners with great command. The future is extremely bright for him.

“Lane was the anchor of our staff. He loves to compete on the mound and holds himself to such a high standard. It was so fun to watch him mature from the beginning of the season until his last start in the state tournament. As a coach it is so fun to watch a player mature to where they begin to hold themselves accountable. I look forward to the next two years and seeing his development as a ball player through his hard work and dedication to becoming the best player he possibly can be.
