Whatcom Preps Analysis:
When the season started, I had a pretty good idea who the top players on each team were. I knew nothing about Guttierez. I was lucky to be in attendance for his first varsity appearance, and he looked great on the mound. A strike-throwing machine with a big 12-6 curveball. After a while, every performance he had was in the same, dominant fashion. No problems pitching complete games, and allowed less than one baserunner per inning pitched for the season!
