Coach’s Comment:
“Payton stepped into a huge roll for us as a setter this season. It’s a high-demanding job with a lot of risks, but also a lot of rewards. She took on a lot of constructive criticism from her coaches, took time after practice to get more reps in, and never stopped asking questions. It was tough at times, probably more often than not, but she continued all season to trust the process and remain a selfless teammate. Her teammates hold a lot of respect for Payton because “quit” was not in her vocabulary.”
