LYNDEN 3, SEDRO WOOLLEY 0

Lynden won again, and went to 7-1 (6-1 Northwest Conference), beating Sedro Woolley 25-20, 25-17 and 25-18. Junior outside hitter Anna Vander Yacht led her team with nine kills, five aces and 12 digs. Junior middle hitter Faith Baar had a fantastic match totaling eight kills with an amazing 47% hit rate. Senior Emily House had five kills and senior Robin Scarlett had 27 assists.

MERIDIAN 3, BELLINGHAM 0

The Trojans started strong against the Red Raiders, winning the first set 25-11. The next two were a lot closer (25-21 and 25-23), and Meridian’s season remains very strong with a 6-3 overall record (4-3 NWC). Senior Makenzie Flake starred in her all-around game with nine kills, eight aces and 10 digs. Sophomore Finnley Claeys led her team in kills with 10, to go along with her nine digs. Sophomore Alofa Fraser and freshman Joslyn Sipma combined for 12 kills and a hitting percentage over 50%. Sophomore Malaysia Smith had 31 assists, three kills and one ace and junior Brynn Neal contributed with 11 digs. Bellingham fell to 2-6 overall (2-5 NWC).
