The Mount Baker boys wrestling team took first place at the East Jefferson Dual Tournament.
Seniors Vance Lawrence (175 and 190), Daniel Washburn (157) and Alder Giarde (215) and sophomore Gavin Compton (138) all went 5-0. Lawrence and Washburn each had five pins, while Compton finished with four pins and a major decision, and Giarde had four pins and a decision.
Bellingham took second place as a team at the A-Town Throwdown Tournament in Arlington.
Junior Nate Laas recorded a pin in the finals at 150 pounds, which gave his team enough points for second place, as Laas took home 1st in his weight class.
Pavel Shintar (157) and Dylan Roath (106) each took second place, while Jacob McCarty (106), Conor Rodriguez-Stiff (144), Kaarlo Laukkenan and Finnegan Jensen (285) each had third place finishes.
